The Michigan State Cycling Club is devoted to all cycling activities, both racing and non-racing. We compete in the Midwest Conference of the National Collegiate Cycling Association. The mountain bike race season starts early in the fall, and continues to the end of October. Our road racing season starts in late February and runs until the end of the spring semester. Races are held by schools such as our own, all over the Midwest. We travel to Ohio, Wisconsin, Kentucky, Illinois, Indiana, and other states to race and ride. It takes no racing experience to come out and have a good time. One of the most rewarding aspects of cycling is traveling all over the country to ride your bike on some of the most incredible trails known. While the major focus of our club is on racing, we also like to plan non-competitive rides and non-race activities with other like-minded cyclists. We like to recognize that not every cyclist wants to race, but everyone wants to have a good time. By promoting both racing and non-racing events, we feel that we can attract more people to the club, and have a lot of fun in the process. If you are a cyclist at any level, beginner or expert, hard core, or just looking for a ride once a week, please check out one of our meetings at the IM West building in room 208 every Monday at 8:00 P.M. This is the kind of thing that makes college a real experience. It will be worth your while.
